GETTING AROUND CAMPUS
Alpharetta Campus
Walking
Nature is close to home for students attending the Alpharetta Campus, where they have easy access to the Greenway Trail, which sits partly on the campus. Including a nature walk in your campus regimen is a great way to visit never-before-seen green life while boosting your physical activity.
Atlanta Campus
Walking
The Atlanta Campus is located in the heart of downtown and is a beautiful place to walk around. Walking on campus is also a great way to improve mental and physical health. You can see our historic buildings, as well as all the green spaces we have on campus, such as Hurt Park and our new green way space conveniently connecting many of our class buildings near Library North. On campus, there are also a lot of restaurants and student lounges where you can walk and grab a bite to eat between classes or just hang out with friends.
Panther Express
Our shuttle bus is a great way to get around to all your classes, whether it’s across campus or to a different location. We can take you to any destination on campus. Download our Passio Go app for real-time bus tracking and receive the latest updates on any bus route changes.

Georgia State has bike racks found around all campus buildings and housing.
Clarkston Campus
Walking
The Clarkston Campus is in the city of Clarkston, known as “the most diverse square mile in America,” with residents representing more than 40 nationalities and speaking more than 60 languages. Walking around campus is a great way to experience the cultural richness of Clarkston.
Decatur Campus
Walking
The Decatur Campus’ rolling, landscaped lawns, miles of sidewalks and pedestrian nature trail make it a draw for those traveling the campus on foot. A 3.8-mile trail that begins on the Decatur Campus connects to Gresham Park and is part of the South River Trail System.
After or before a nice stroll, feel free to relax and unwind at the campus’ newly renovated gym and fitness center, which includes an indoor swimming pool.
Dunwoody Campus
Walking
The Dunwoody Campus sits on 100 acres in a residential area of north DeKalb County. This campus houses outdoor soccer fields, tennis courts, an observatory and an outdoor gazebo, all of which are within perfect walking distance from one another.
Newton Campus
Walking
Each year, the Newton Campus blossoms with hundreds of daffodils. This provides the perfect moment for scenic walking, especially during the time the Daffodil Festival comes around. In addition, when walking around campus, it may be a good idea to explore the Rec Center with a group of friends.
